Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using stlviewer.online (the "Service"), provided by Ievgen Mazur ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or upload content to the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3. Description of Service

The Service provides tools to view and share 3D models (e.g., STL, 3MF) and related content (metadata, screenshots, descriptions).

• Anonymous Use: Users may view and upload models anonymously. These models are subject to a maximum retention period of 7 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
• Registered Accounts: Users may create an account to manage models, view statistics, and access extended storage options.
• Paid Plans (Future): We may introduce subscription tiers for increased storage and prolonged retention. These will be governed by additional payment terms.

4. User Content & Intellectual Property

4.1. Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to the 3D models and files you upload. We do not claim any ownership over your content.

4.2. License to the Service

By uploading content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (e.g., rendering the 3D view for you or those you share the link with).

4.3. Prohibited Content

You are strictly prohibited from uploading content that:

• Contains biometric data (e.g., high-resolution facial scans intended for identification).
• Contains personally identifiable information (PII) of third parties.
• Infringes on any third-party intellectual property or copyrights.
• Is illegal, defamatory, or promotes violence or harm.
• Contains malware, viruses, or malicious code.

5. Liability Disclaimer for Content

We act as a neutral hosting provider.

• We do not pre-screen, validate, or monitor user-uploaded models.
• Under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Polish Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means, we are not liable for the information stored at the request of a user, provided we do not have actual knowledge of illegal activity.

6. Data Retention and Loss

• Automatic Deletion: You acknowledge that files uploaded with a specific retention period (e.g., 7 days) will be permanently deleted upon expiration.
• No Backups: We do not provide backup services. We are not liable for any loss of data, models, or metadata. It is your responsibility to maintain local copies of your files.

7. Fees and Payments (planned functionality)

• Stripe Integration: Paid plans will be processed via Stripe. By upgrading, you agree to Stripe’s terms and our specific pricing at the time of purchase.
• Taxes: All fees are inclusive of VAT where applicable under Polish law, unless stated otherwise.
• Refunds: Due to the nature of digital storage services, refunds are generally not provided unless required by Polish consumer protection law.

8. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and delete your content at our sole discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if your account poses a security risk to the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Polish law, Ievgen Mazur shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of your use or inability to use the Service.

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ievgen Mazur from any claims, damages, or legal fees resulting from your violation of these Terms or your infringement of any third-party rights (including intellectual property rights) via the content you upload.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts having jurisdiction over the location of the Service provider in Poland.

12. Changes to Terms

We will notify users of significant changes to these Terms via our official Discord channel. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
